Graffiti: Art on the Line
Visual Art
Full Day
10am-2pm
Learn about graffiti culture, study the medium and experiment with line, weight, lettering, style and content. Lead by SAS Resident Moises Frank Aka LUVSUMONE, students will be challenged to consider the impact of graffiti as a written and visual medium and to reflect on the cultural and social position of graffiti historically and within a contemporary content.
From diverse and critical perspectives students will reflect on their own message as they work toward uncovering a ‘style;’ that engenders community identity. Providing a forum for all voices, this workshop will challenge ideas about art, culture and values in a fun and safe and collaborative environment.
Moises is a local Graffiti Artist who has done work all across the GTA working with communities, schools, city and private organizations actively engaging young people in the community and sharing his knowledge. Join him for an amazing day.
