Digital Content Coordinator

The CreativeHub 1352 (formerly the Small Arms Society) is a non-profit organization, who works in partnership with residents of Mississauga and the City of Mississauga in the development of unique creative hub programs, events and projects at the Small Arms Inspection Building (SAIB). The building is historically significant site, owned and operated by the City of Mississauga. As a community programming partner, we work across the arts, heritage, environment and technology to deliver a mix of programs, projects, education and events that foster collaboration and community engagement that enrich peoples lives. CreativeHub 1352 offers an opportunity to work closely with artists, innovators, community and regional cultural organizations and municipal tourism strategists in a community that has become a destination for the annual In Situ Multi Arts Festival, celebrating visual arts, dance, music and theatre. 

This is a unique opportunity to support the development of Mississauga’s new Creativehub 1352 that will impact, influence and inspire artistic and cultural opportunities for local artists, arts organizations and communities.


CreativeHub 1352 is seeking a dynamic individual with experience in digital content and visual content for blogs, website, social media and communications to support the programming in the arts, heritage, and environmental sciences. The individual will assist the Board of Directors and the Marketing Committee as well as play an active role in the development of a variety of marketing and communication strategies to support the organizations programs, events and outreach activities at the Small Arms Inspection Building (SAIB) through CreativeHub 1352. 

  1. Research and prepare written digital content for website, social media, blogs, and other communication and publicity for the organization. 

  2. Coordinate and maintain social media and content management systems including Hootsuite, WIX, WordPress and Constant Contact. 

  3. Assist the Board of Directors and Marketing Director in the design and implementation of marketing and communication strategies for Summer Arts, Create It Tuesdays, InSitu Multi Arts Festival and other events in collaboration with volunteers, stakeholders and the community. 

  4. Provide support in the design, creation and launch of the organizations’ monthly newsletter/blog posts. 

  5. Assist with the design and implementation of marketing and fundraising campaigns for CreativeHub 1352. 

  6. Pro-actively work with the content writers to support the creation of our virtual content library 

  7. Assist with the storage, filing and management of visual content for archival and reference proposes. 



  • Experience with software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva, designing digital marketing and communication content. 

  • Knowledge of digital media tactics such as SEO and web analytics would be a strong asset. 

  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Suite and Google Drive enhanced 

  • Experience in publicity and communication planning and execution of various campaigns and initiatives. 

  • Excellent writing and verbal/presentation skills with the ability to summarize information and connect for a variety of audiences. 

  • Experience developing and coordinating content for different social media platforms. 

  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, administration, problem solving and planning skills 

  • Demonstrated ability to work both in a team environment as well as independently. 

  • Creative self-starter; proven initiative and ability to work collaboratively. 

  • Strong organizational and program planning skills with ability to meet deadlines. 

  • Experience updating and maintaining content management systems an asset 

Working Conditions 

  • Ability to work pro-actively with non-profit board of directors and committees. Ability to work independently. General office/flexible working conditions; some evening and weekend work to support the programs of the organization. 

  • Location Mississauga. 

Direct Reporting 

  • Supervision, support and mentorship from the Board of Directors Marketing Director.
