In Situ is back! Immersive and site-sensitive dance, music and art will animate this wonderful partially retrofitted historic building in Mississauga.

Saxophone and spoken word will echo from vaults, video projections will enliven windows, live drawing, painting and graffiti will energize corridors. Spontaneous, magical, dance, music and theatre performances will surprise, inspire and pique your curiosity!
​
In Situ 2018 – Making Space. Making Place runs November 8, 9 and 10, 2018 7pm-11pm, Produced by the Small Arms Society/CreativeHub 1352 it happens in the Small Arms Inspection Building - a previously derelict WWII munitions plant - located at 1352 Lakeshore Road at Dixie Road in Mississauga.

For those who attended In Situ 2016, you already know that the magic of this wondrous event situated in such a breathtaking space.

In Situ 2018, as an interactive and participatory event will transform the space and spark your imagination with:

Live music, photography, performance, dance, improv, mime, and spoken word by some of the GTA’s top emerging artists;
​

Mural and graffiti art, installation art, design projects highlight professional artists and students from Humber College, Sheridan College and Cawthra Park Senior Secondary;

Special site-specific dance /theatre performance by Mississauga’s Frog in Hand and the Contour dance troupe will provoke your imagination;

Workshops for hundreds of students from area schools led by In Situ artists will be part of the daytime activities leading into evening events;

The Small Arms Society is championing a community-driven plan to reinvent the building and site as multi disciplinary creative hub for the community. Proceeds from the 3-day event will support community participation, educational workshops and programming across disciplines.
