Heather Snell
Lost Museum Co-Creator & Curator
Heather lives in Port Credit and was a founding member of the original Creative Hub Board. As a community member she has curated multiarts festivals and initiated arts experiences as placemaking. In her career she has supported young people in direct care, families facing terminal illness.
She has held multiple academic postings at Canadian and international universities - still teaching with the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. Heather has proudly coached several Canadian Paralympic teams and won gold for Canada at the World Masters Rowing Championships. In short … as this list suggests, Heather has always had trouble making decisions; trouble saying ‘no’ to opportunities.
Heather is drawn to the question “what if?” … to the possibilities of the ‘in-between’ – the places where disciplines and ideas merge. She is fascinated by the reality of light emanating from stars that no longer exist; the resonance of stories never told but intimately understood and the mathematical potential of the equation 2 + 2 = 5.
