Lee Tovey
The Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area is being built along the Mississauga shoreline in an area that currently has no public access to the lake. The new green space will connect with Marie Curtis Park and the future Inspiration Lakeview lands next to the G.E. Booth Waste Water Treatment Plant. It will connect the Waterfront Trail with the waterfront.
Wetlands are the sponges of the world, storing and filtering water. They provide a home for plants, mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and insects. The form and structure – “Morphology” – of nature, is the
foundation for all life. Morphology, the exhibit, allows us the unique opportunity to explore a constructed wetland, as it is being shaped on the Lake Ontario shoreline in Mississauga. Seen through the eyes of creative
photo artists we will explore our relationship with water, with form and function, and our shared responsibility to ensuring the health
and future of the Great Lakes.
