Artisan Market, a new community art project, and more!

CreativeHub 1352 has some exciting activities lined up for August, as well as the next coming months. Keep reading for a quick run-down!

We’ll be welcoming a new Artisan Market, held August 15, August 29, September 12, and September 26, from 10 am - 2 pm. Designed to complement our Sunday Lakeview Farmers’ Market, The Artisan Market will feature artisan vendors selling hand-crafted, original works related to one of the three themes: gardening, eco-friendly/environmental, or culinary products.

For more information on our current list of Artisans, directions, and more, visit the Artisan Market website, located here.

Interested in applying to be a vendor? Read over our call for artisans and apply by sending your application form to info@creativehub1352.ca.

New community art coming to the Lakeview Farmers’ Market!

On Sunday, August 8th, 2021 at 11am, CreativeHub 1352 and Port Credit Community Foundation organizers will be unveiling 8 original works of art by talented local artists, as well as a special music playlist featuring songs from artists from the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame!

The artwork and information about the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame will be showcased throughout the Lakeview Farmers’ Market area. The Market operates Sundays, until October 10th, 10am to 2pm at the outdoor parking lot of the Small Arms Inspection Building at 1352 Lakeshore Rd. E.

With artwork ranging from a variety of mediums, the artists have created unique one-of-a-kind pieces of work that celebrate farmers' markets, farming, and growing locally produced food.

New Strategic Plan – We Need Your Feedback

Do you have thoughts and ideas about what CreativeHub 1352 (“The Hub”) should be doing in the future to animate and support the activities and use of the Small Arms Inspection Building and Site?

CreativeHub 1352 is embarking on a 3–5-year strategic plan and would like your input. We encourage the public, residents, arts, culture, environment, heritage, and technology partners and organizations to participate in this process by providing feedback through an online survey. Your feedback will help us to identify and prioritize community needs; inform decision-making; and develop program service delivery for the future.

The online survey will be available until August 29, 2021 and can be accessed here.

CreativeHub 1352 would like to acknowledge the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their financial support of this project.
