It’s been a busy past few months at CreativeHub 1352! Whether you're hearing about us for the first time or have been following us since way back, there is always something new and exciting happening at CreativeHub 1352.
Here’s what’s going on.
Lakeview Farmers' Market
The Lakeview Farmers’ Market is back and better than ever! This year's Market features new vendors and many of your favourites from last year. In its second year, the Lakeview Farmers’ Market is a Sunday must for locally grown and sourced produce, small batched products, meats, fresh baked goods, preserves, jams, maple syrup, and even artisan products.
The market operates Sundays until October 10th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the parking lot next to the Small Arms Inspection Building at 1352 Lakeshore Rd. East.
We apologize for the line-ups at the market. Following COVID-19 safety regulations established by health authorities and the government, Lakeview Farmers' Market can operate at 25% capacity. As the regulations ease, we will adapt our visitor numbers.

The project will be a timeline video piece on the histories of Lakeview and The Small Arms Inspection Building, from the early 1800s to present-day.

Centennial College StoryWorks
Collaborating and creating learning experiences is an important cornerstone of many of our initiatives at CreativeHub 1352. This winter we collaborated with Centennial College Story Works students on two cultural heritage projects.
The first project was Creating Heritage Public Education Programs, and is based on our highly successful Heritage Memory Kits of the Small Arms Ltd during WW II. This project is centered on the development of public education and school curricula which we plan to launch to the schools and the public in 2022.
The second project is Phase 1 of a Walking Trail App project for the Arsenal Lands, SAIB site, and the immediate surrounding area. Students prepared the app’s concept, educational and media content for a historical walking tour app of the site and immediate area. Phase 2 will be undertaken in the Fall/Winter of 2021-22 by the Centennial College students. We are presently looking for funds/donations to support the completion of the project.
Mississauga Creative Craft Beer Festival

The Mississauga Creative Craft Beer Festival, hosted by CreativeHub 1352, will bring people together for two days of great beer, food, and entertainment in one of the GTA’s most interesting historical venues, the Small Arms Inspection Building. The festival will feature carefully selected fine craft breweries and cideries along with tasty food and non-alcoholic beverage options showcasing the local music scene.

Have you heard about the vision for Lakeview Linear Heritage Park along the Lakeshore Corridor? Local residents through the Lakeview Ratepayer's Association are bringing this to the attention of the city through the Lakeview East Corridor Study. The concept is to create a linear heritage park that envisions supporting the rich heritage of the area and enhancing walkability, placemaking, and greening of open space. Learn more here.
