CreativeHub 1352 Strategic Plan

CreativeHub 1352 (“The Hub”) invites its community members to join The Hub’s next strategic planning process. Over the next several months, Consulting Matrix Inc. consultants will lead us through a range of activities to explore:

  • A compelling story of the possibilities and potential of The Hub’s vision for the Small Arms Inspection Building ("SAIB")

  • Position The Hub for success through the best mix of programming, models, and ideal partners

  • Enable a path for The Hub’s organizational recovery post-pandemic, and new revenue streams

“Advocacy, community engagement, and collaboration are cornerstones of the work we do to animate the Small Arms Inspection Building and site." said Diane LaPointe, CreativeHub 1352 Executive Director. "We encourage people to share their feedback with us to ensure that our new strategic plan reflects the wants and needs of Mississauga residents and visitors to this historically significant site and responds to the future growth of arts, heritage, and environmental initiatives in our wonderful city."

Following internal staff and board consultations, The Hub (led by Consulting Matrix Associates, Judy Wolfe and Caroline Cruickshank) will conduct community outreach in the coming weeks with a range of key stakeholders. This process is being conducted independently but in tandem with the City of Mississauga’s SAIB North Building revitalization capital project. The Hub's goal is to ensure its strategic plan is aligned with the City's revitalization project and the organization is ready to support future growth and change.

We also encourage our community members, arts, culture, environment, heritage and technology partners and organizations to participate in this process by providing feedback through an online survey. Your feedback will help us to identify and prioritize community needs; inform decision-making; and develop program service delivery.

The online survey will be available until August 29, 2021 and can be accessed below.

The Hub will host a Community Meeting in September, when we will validate the community input that was gathered. The information will inform the strategic recommendations which will guide The Hub for the next three to five years.

CreativeHub 1352 is a not-for-profit organization working in partnership with the Mississauga community. The Hub’s mandate is to foster unique creative and collaborative programs, events, and projects at the Small Arms Inspection Building, Arsenal lands, and surrounding community. The Small Arms Inspection Building is owned and operated by the City of Mississauga.

For more than 12 years, The Hub, formerly the Small Arms Society (SAS), has played a pivotal role in protecting and transforming the historic Small Arms Inspection Building into a Creative Hub. The Hub fosters a dynamic mix of arts, heritage, and environmental sciences programming for the benefit of the Mississauga community and beyond.
