
Jennifer Cortez
Lakeview Farmers' Market Manager
Jennifer Cortez is a multidisciplinary artist, post-secondary professor, entrepreneur, and public art juror for the City of Mississauga. She is also a dedicated community advocate with a strong passion for uplifting others. Jennifer holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education, Administration, and Leadership from Royal Roads University.
In October 2024, she was honoured with the Latin Excellence Award, recognized by Toronto Metropolitan University in collaboration with the Hispanic community organization Fuerza Latina for her leadership and contributions to the community.
Jennifer is the founder of Latina Leaders, a Canadian-based initiative committed to empowering Hispanic and BIPOC women. Through impactful content, networking opportunities, educational events, and mentorship, Latina Leaders aims to close the gap in representation and elevate women into leadership roles.
Deeply rooted in her love for her hometown, Jennifer remains passionate about creating meaningful change and celebrating the strength and diversity of her community in Mississauga.
