About the event

In this mixed media workshop participants will learn alternative application methods of acrylic paint and how to layer 3D elements created with clay. Both additive and subtractive techniques will be taught. Participant artworks will be created using clay to shape into Heliconia flowers, a beautiful tropical flower, on a background of abstract art. The background will be created by elements of stencil art and blocks. The instructor will guide you through sculpting the heliconia flowers using air dry clay and a soft blending application of acrylic paints to the clay.
