About the event

Workshop Description: Step into the world of songwriting with "My Song Story," a 2.5 hour workshop crafted just for you. Whether you're a musical beginner or a seasoned enthusiast, this hands-on experience invites you to create your own lyrics and melodies, bringing your unique musical story to life. Focusing on both crafting lyrics by drawing upon the participants interests the instructor will then introduce how to create beats and tunes for your original song.

Age Range: Youth 14+, Adults, Children 11+ accomplanied by an adult

Participants will be notified the day prior if the workshop will run based on weather conditions. If the weather forecast is predicting moderate rain the workshop will be rescheduled to July 21st @ 9:00a-11:30a outside at the Small Arms Inspection Building.

Instructor Bio: Saksham Singh is a versatile musician excelling as a Pianist, Guitarist, Songwriting, Composer, and Music Arranger. He is currently working at the City of Toronto as a Music Instructor. With 75+ performances nationwide, including appearances at Coke Studio and Sofar, he holds a Masters in Percussion Music from the University of Delhi and is currently pursuing a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sound Design & Production.
