In this captivating talk, Heritage Mississauga’s local historian Matthew Wilkinson takes you beyond the familiar, revealing true stories of crime, mystery, and intrigue that have shaped the city’s past. From murder and theft to mysterious disappearances, underground gambling, and even the first train robbery in Canadian history, these are the stories that rarely make it into the history books.
Blending vivid storytelling with rich historical insight, this session offers a powerful new lens on Mississauga, one that explores the tension, humanity, and hidden narratives beneath the surface.
The talk will be followed by a short Q&A, offering space to ask questions and dive deeper into these fascinating accounts.
