Are you curious about tales from the other side? As the autumn air turns crisp, get into the holiday spirit and relish in local ghostly tales. This talk, presented by historian Matthew Wilkinson, will explore spooky happenings and unexplained phenomena from Mississauga's history.
Launching from the 2006 book “Haunted Mississauga” and research by Terry Boyle, Matthew will guide you through Mississauga’s eerie history and the ghostly legends that linger in our backyard. We’ll delve into chilling accounts from across the city, and go beyond simple ghost stories. This talk will include audience conversations and opportunities to take home your very own copy of Terry Boyle’s book.
Whether you are a local history buff or a lover of folklore, this welcoming session is open to all (18+). From ghost sightings, tragic deaths and freak accidents, Mississauga has a haunted history that needs to be heard!
