About the event
Workshop Description: This workshop is an instruction for complete beginners or experienced artists. Techniques are broken down into very clear and simple steps with lots of individual attention and plenty of time to master each. We will experiment with the physics of water and paint on fine watercolor paper, explore color theory and composition. You will learn such watercolor techniques as wet-in-wet, drybrush, resist, spatter, fan-brushing, sponge and much more.
Age Range: Youth 14+, Adults, Children 11+ accompied by an adult
In the event of a rainout participants will be notified the day prior and the workshop will be rescheduled to July 31st 6:30-8:30p to take place at The Living Arts Centre, 4141 Living Arts Dr, Mississauga, ON L5B 4B8.
Instructor Bio: Maryna Salagub is a practicing artist and a popular art teacher. Transparent watercolour is Maryna’s medium of choice. Her watercolours encompass a variety of subject matter, with animalistic detail, being her latest achievement. Maryna’s use of high- keyed colour and dramatic light are the trademarks of her work. Maryna is also a member and juror of Oakville Art Council. Maryna teaches how to illustrate whimsical scenes, full of bright vivid colours and movement.
