JILL HOLLINGSWORTH
Artistic Co-Director
Jill Hollingsworth has a 60 year relationship with the arts. Jill taught dance with the Peel District School Board for 28 years and headed the ballet division of the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She was Assistant Artistic Director for the Oak Ridge Ballet Association, Soloist with the Des Moines Ballet Company, Dancer with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and Looking Glass Dance Theatre (Ballet Y’s), and a dancer for CBC Montreal. Jill holds an Honours B.F.A. from York University, a Diploma in Dance from Ryerson University and a B.Ed from University of Toronto. Additional certificates include Advanced Royal Academy of Dance (ballet), Advanced standing with I.S.T.D. in modern, and national dance and certification in Laban Notation. She was on the 2016 and 2018 InSitu teams and has worked with Frog in Hand and Toes for Dance.
HEATHER SNELL
Artistic Co-Director
Heather Snell is drawn to the ‘in-betweens’ where disciplines merge. She has participated with youth in wilderness adventures, performed in young people’s theatre; facilitated hip hop as mental health research, and curated multi arts festivals and programming as placemaking. She was the founder of the Barrier Free Design Centre, and former Chair of the Premier’s Award for Barrier Free Design. She is an accomplished musician and recognized academic – holding research and teaching positions at Humber College, Ryerson University and Strathclyde University in Glasgow. Her practice, research and teaching are uniquely situated through the lens of arts-based practices, and embodied research. Her course development and teaching include “Ways of Knowing: Arts as Research Practice” and “The Arts of Child and Youth Care” (Ryerson University); “Reflective Practices for Relational Care” (Strathclyde University) Her multi-arts performances have included: “Turn out the Lights?” – a multi-disciplinary collaborative delivered at ‘Nurturing Hope’ the World Child and Youth Care Conference California; “How We Know” presented at ‘Running with Concepts: The Empathy Edition’ Blackwood Gallery; “Words that Hold Up” presented at the International Conference on the Arts in Society Vancouver. Heather has chaired the Provincial Council for Speciality Arts Schools and was the 2017 Recipient of the Ontario Association of Child & Youth Care Award of Excellence. In her community Heather was the founder and Artistic Director of InSitu16, and InSitu18 the first multiarts site specific festival in Mississauga for which she was recognized with the Mississauga Arts Council Laura Pallett Patron of the Arts Award 2019.
NOELLE HAMLYN
Scenographer, Costume Designer, Props & Costume Builder, Photographer, Graphic Designer. Creative Concept Team
Noelle Hamlyn combines her active studio practice with her theatre practice. She holds credentials in both Craft and Fine Art with an Advanced Diploma in Textiles (Sheridan College School of Craft and Design), a BFA (School of the Art Institute of Chicago) and most recently a Graduate Diploma in Costuming (Fanshawe College). She is Design Director of Frog and Hand Productions Inc. – a site specific dance theatre company. Her theatre work includes productions at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Art Gallery of Ontario, Living Arts Centre Mississauga and the Toronto Fringe Festival.Her art practice has represented Canada at the Cheongju International Craft Biennale, Biennale Internationale Du Lin de Portneuf, Quebec, and The International Lace Competition (Power House Museum, Sydney). She has shown in London, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo and nationally exhibited at Museum of Vancouver, Southern Alberta Art Gallery, Art Gallery of Mississauga, Durham Art Gallery, and Mississippi Valley Textile Museum. Permanent collections include Cambridge Art Gallery, City of Mississauga, Peel Art Gallery Museum + Archives, Peel Board of Education, Japanese Paper Place and Cleveland University Hospitals.
Her work was been recognized as a Salt Spring National Art Prize 2017 Finalist, Best in Show at Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition (2014, 2019). Residencies include the Banff Centre, Harbourfront Centre, Burren College of Art, Salt Spring Arts Council, and Barefoot College, Tanzania, re-designing / building Bee-Keeping suits as social-enterprise.

CATHLEEN MACDONALD
Producer, Director, Editor: Digital & Film
Producer-Director-Writer Cathleen MacDonald (De-escalate, The Curves, Working Animals, Moving On) is the founder of Motion Picture Enterprises where she creates films, series, and digital stories. Recently she was the digital producer for the feature documentary The Divided Brain and she is currently developing the multi-platform series Girls Build the Future. Cathleen embraces narrative and technology to explore new ways of telling stories and delighting audiences. She is a former film distributor (VEC/Criterion Pictures), she serves as a guest speaker and juror for industry festivals, organizations, and funders, is a former board member of the Oakville Film Festival and is the founder of the filmmaker collective Filmhive.org.
COLLEEN SNELL
Dramaturg, Props Maker, Script Development, Poet, Rehearsal Director, Creative Concept Team
Colleen Snell is an educator, choreographer, collaborator, outside eye, fight director and performer. She is Artistic Director of Frog in Hand, a site-specific dance-theatre company she co-founded in 2012. Colleen devises and performs collaborative work with musicians, poets, actors, fight directors, visual artists and martial artists. Colleen’s large scale ensemble work is inspired by science fiction. Commissions include Stories in the Woods (2019), Toronto Fringe (2018, 2019, 2020), Block Party (2017), Creature (2016), Springboard Danse (2015) and Guelph Dance Festival (2015, 2016). Frog in Hand has received support from the City of Mississauga, Ontario Arts Council, Canada Council, Canada Summer Jobs program and various foundations.

As a performer, Colleen has created original roles with Dancemakers, TOES for Dance, Transcendance Project and APDP (Alysa Pires). She is an advanced actor-combatant with Fight Directors Canada. Colleen trained in Montreal (EDCM) and England, completing a Masters Degree at London Contemporary Dance School. An avid bilingual arts educator, Colleen is committed to developing and sharing cultural capital with diverse learners. She teaches acting for adults as well as movement/dance to beginners and professionals of all ages.

ROHAN DHUPAR
Actor: The Lost Performer
Musical Theatre & Outreach Artist: Lost Dances
Rohan Dhupar is a Mississauga-based multidisciplinary artist with diverse training in theatre, musical theatre, contemporary dance performance and creation. A graduate of Cawthra Park Secondary School, Rohan continued training in musical theatre at Sheridan College. Recent performance credits include Charlottetown Festival (Mamma Mia!, Kronborg, Anne of Green Gables and the The Dream Catchers), Theatre Sheridan (The Threepenny Opera, On The Town, Chelsea Sunrise, Kiss Me Kate); developmental workshop with the Canadian Music Theatre Project (Kelly V. Kelly) and Musical Stage Company.
He spent two seasons with Frog in Hand and two seasons as a dancer with Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre. He has numerous credits for film, television and stage, and has been guest choreographer at Cawthra Park for the last five years. Rohan collaborates with established and emerging artists to challenge perspectives and contribute meaningfully to discussions on diversity, representation and our current civic climate.

In partnership with Cawthra Park High School: This year we welcome back the Cawthra Regional Arts Dance Repertoire Company, (Rachael Lutes Director). Working with Dancer, Choreographer Rohan Dhupar, Cawthra Repertoire dances will bring their movement skills to the Festival in new ways. 2021 will also welcome new collaborators – students from the Cawthra Park Zine Club, and various Creative Writing classes. Curator: The Healing Room: Indigenous Voice & Vision Collection, Visual Artist
Born and raised in Toronto, but has resided in Lakeview and Mississauga for over 25 years. Although she traveled to see the world from different views, she is mostly influenced by her deep appreciation of nature and growing knowledge of her indigenous background from Oneida of The Thames reserve in Ontario (Turtle Clan).
​
She is predominately a self-taught artist, only recently emerging into public viewing. She is currently the Director of Finance for the non-profit group ‘The Eagle Spirits of the Great Waters Indigenous Arts & Cultures’, in Lakeview, Mississauga.

“I would like to see the integration of Indigenous arts into non-indigenous communities so we can all learn from each other.”

The Lost Letters
ANDREW GABOURY
Actor: The Alchemist, Writer & Outreach Artist: Lost Letters & Lost Rituals, Creative Concept Team
Andrew Gaboury is a performer, writer and educator based in Port Credit. His practice unites collective creation, duration, dance, mask and theatrical clowning. He has been co-Artistic Director of hub14 art + performance works, a studio and artist residency in Toronto, since 2013. He is the Director of a field of crowns, a multi-disciplinary and community intervention-based performance and training company. Andrew is a frequent collaborator with Frog in Hand Productions in Mississauga and a teacher at various institutions in the GTA, including the Living Arts Centre and The School. He taught mask, clown and movement for Clay and Paper Theatre’s summer company in 2019. Andrew recently graduated North America’s first Therapeutic Clowning Certificate program at George Brown College.

The Lost Rituals
In partnership with Alumni from Randolph College for the Performing Arts, independent artists with Frog in Hand, and students in Theatre Studies Praxis 1 College of Arts, School of English & Theatre Studies, University of Guelph. Randolph College for the Performing Arts: Joining InSitu for the first time, students and alumni from Randolph College - Ontario’s leading post secondary training program in the performing arts, will join established artists Andrew Gaboury and Rohan Dhupar to create fragments, moments and memories. Kim-Lee Kho is a multidisciplinary artist and former graphic designer/art director based in Brampton. Kho is a member of Red Head Gallery exhibiting her first solo show with the collective in the fall of 2019. She has shown widely at public and private art galleries, including the Art Gallery of Mississauga, the Living Arts Centre, Art Gallery of Grande Prairie (Alberta), Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (BC), Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, Burnaby (BC), Renann Isaacs Contemporary Art (Guelph), You Me Gallery (Hamilton), and participated in residencies and mentorships including Emerging Artist Mentor Project at the Burlington Art Centre. In addition to her creative practice, Kho teaches at Fleming College’s Haliburton School of Art + Design, Neilson Park Creative Centre in Etobicoke, and Visual Arts Mississauga.

In partnership with 2nd year students in the Visual & Digital Arts program at Humber College: Faculty of Media & Creative Arts with Professor Noni Kaur. As third time InSitu partners, students from Humber’s Visual and Digital Arts diploma program will bring their talent and enthusiasm to InSitu – this time exploring the possibilities of print, books, text, construction, and reconstruction under the guidance of Artist/Professor Noni Kaur and Artist Kim Lee Kho.

Poet & Spoken Word Artist: The Linguist
Outreach Artist: Lost Voices
Ian Keteku is a multi-media artist, creating poetry, spoken word performances, music, videos, and thought-provoking poetic films. Ian’s work is an articulation of a generation’s heartbeat. An internationally acclaimed poet and multimedia artist, he is the 2010 World Poetry Slam champion. He uses his voice to inspire messages of peace, action, and critical thought. His work follows in the lineage of ancient African storytellers by paying homage to the past and revisiting themes and lessons from previous generations. Not only does Ian give voice, but he also holds space open to be filled by many voices. He is a committed arts educator hosting poetry, writing and performance workshops for students of all ages, inspiring people to accept the power of their own voice. He is currently teaching Creative Writing, Art and Social Change at the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCADU), in Toronto.

In partnership with students from OCAD University, new partners to InSitu, we are delighted to welcome the students from OCADU. Working with Artist/Professor Ian Keteku, OCADU students are set to create, connect and collaborate in sound and imagery as they join InSitu for the first time.

KADEEM DUNN
Actor: Terah the Wayfarer, Digital / Games Designer & Outreach Artist: Lost Games, Creative Concept Team
Kadeem Dunn is a Mississauga-based artist whose work is situated in the intersection of digital and physical spaces exploring how our lives can be altered through a combination of play and technology. Identifying as both Black Canadian and Jamaican, Kadeem’s draws attention to the role of racialization in the production and consumption of technology, media, and society at large.
​
With over 8 years in game development education (with companies including iD Tech, Real Programming 4 Kids, and Hand Eye Society), Kadeem has contributed to a brave new generation of game developers through tutoring, curriculum development, publications, and lectures.
​
In partnership with Hand Eye Society: Inspiring us to boldly embrace the new digital world of In Situ2021 are our new partners – the Mississauga Chapter of the Hand Eye Society. Working with Mississauga Hand Eye Society Director and digital artist Kadeem Dunn, digital artists will help design the Festival platform and challenge us with gaming delights and live stream play.

RAHEEL PATEL

Visual Artist & Outreach Artist: Lost Umbrellas
Raheel Patel (He/Him), Mixed media Artist / Art & Museum Curator. Born and raised in India’s first world heritage city Ahmedabad, inheriting the cultural values, Art, Craft, Practices, Myths, Legends & Faith from his family, and Sampradaya (Cultural & Religious System). I have not only learned these traditional art forms but also applied them to our modern world through modern educational systems to understand Indian art and techniques at a much deeper level. As an artist the child within me has never died, I have been playful all my life, ever since my childhood days, like every child, childhood stories, games, toys have fascinated me. But while many of them gradually overcome this fascination, few like me live with it in their the secret world forever. The object and the subject both in my work are the memories of my childhood the techniques of using stamps in my work the kaleidoscope visions which I resonate with the mandala patterns this all have very beautiful unforgettable memories which I relive into art.
