Call for Programming: Workshop Facilitators, Community Builders + Filmmakers

We’re looking for local facilitators, artists and community builders to offer a paid opportunity to help us shape our upcoming program for the rest of 2026. We’re building something that feels creative, welcoming and rooted in the local community, and we’re really excited to connect with people who want to bring others together through what they do.

How our program works

Our sessions take place in a few different ways:

  •  Drop ins on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 2:30 PM

  • Workshops on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 2:30 PM

  • Lectures and talks on Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM

  • Film nights on one Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 PM


What are we looking for?


Drop ins

We’re looking for creatives who can lead relaxed, welcoming sessions where people can drop in, connect and make something together. This could be:

  • Craft and making like mending, embroidery, collage

  • Singing sessions, drop in choirs or music jams

  • Dance and movement

  • Creative writing or poetry tables

  • Cultural or community led making spaces

  • Anything social, low pressure and creative


Workshops

We’re looking for facilitators who can lead engaging, hands-on sessions for up to 20 participants. This could be:

  • Dance, movement or performance

  • Filmmaking, photography or digital media

  • Screenwriting, playwriting or storytelling

  • Visual arts and craft based workshops

  • Music, sound or vocal sessions

  • Heritage and culture led workshops

  • Anything that helps people learn, create and try something new


Lectures and talks

We’re looking for people who can lead interesting, thought provoking sessions that spark conversation. This could be:

  • Alternative or untold histories

  • Cultural heritage and identity

  • Local stories and community perspectives

  • Artist and/or Author talks about process and practice

  • Conversations around creativity and storytelling


Film

We’re looking for short films from local filmmakers to showcase as part of our monthly film nights:

  • Films under 25 minutes

  • Documentary, narrative or experimental

  • Bold storytelling and diverse voices

We’re really keen to hear from local facilitators, creatives and artists who want to be part of something special in the community.
